In-Person Practicum Overview (OPF110)
The In-Person Practicum is a comprehensive, hands-on training designed to provide participants with practical facilitation skills and real-world experience. This immersive component is the final step toward licensure in Oregon and builds on the foundational knowledge acquired in the Distance Education Program.

- Spring Cohort: June 9–13, 2025
- Summer Cohort: September 2–6, 2025

Eligibility Requirements
- Completion of the Distance Education Program is required before enrolling in the In-Person Practicum.
Curriculum Overview
- Direct Practice (30 Hours)
- Observation of Taped Facilitation Sessions (7.5 Hours): Analyze recorded facilitation sessions conducted with participant consent.
- Participation in Psychedelic Peer Support Organizations (7.5 Hours): Gain experience in supervised peer support settings.
- Role-Playing Exercises (7.5 Hours): Practice and refine facilitation techniques in simulated scenarios.
- Experience with Altered States of Consciousness (Non-Drug-Induced) (7.5 Hours): Explore practices such as breathwork, meditation, and spiritual journeys.
- Consultation and Supervision (10 Hours)
- Case Review and Feedback (1.25 Hours): Review case studies and engage in group discussions.
- Supervision and Mentorship (1.25 Hours): Collaborate with expert mentors and peers for guidance.
- Ethics and Safety (2.5 Hours): Focus on ethical considerations, risk management, and crisis intervention.
- Integrative Techniques (1.25 Hours): Learn holistic approaches such as art therapy and counseling to support integration.
- Professional Development (1.25 Hours): Reflect on practice to improve facilitation skills.
- Cultural Competency (1.25 Hours): Enhance inclusive practices to adapt facilitation techniques for diverse populations.
- Practical Skills Enhancement (1.25 Hours): Develop active listening, empathy, and nonverbal communication through workshops.
