Dr. Reginald V. Finley, Sr., PhD, is an educator and scientist with a strong background in biological sciences, critical thinking, and science education. As a Lead Instructor at AAA Learning Institute, he teaches courses on Fungi-Assisted Facilitation, applying evidence-based research to explore their potential role in personal growth, mental wellness, and integrative healing.

With over two decades of experience teaching biology, genetics, chemistry, human anatomy, and physiology, Dr. Finley combines traditional scientific methods with emerging insights in Fungi-Assisted Facilitation therapies. He holds a PhD in Education with a focus on Critical Thinking, an MSc in Biological Sciences, an MEd in Science Education, and a BS in Human Development. His passion and work are aimed at providing students with a balanced, research-informed perspective on the biological sciences, particularly entheogenic biology, at AAA Learning Institute.

Dr. Finley’s diverse background—ranging from service in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard to roles in federal law enforcement—gives him a practical understanding of the challenges faced by veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors. This experience informs his commitment to teaching methods that are both thoughtful and grounded in real-world experience.

Currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Lifestyle Medicine Certification, Dr. Finley remains dedicated to continuous learning. His goal is to equip future facilitators with the scientific literacy, ethical practices, and practical skills needed to responsibly integrate Fungi-Assisted Facilitation education into their work.
